Thanks to Daren Young lending us his van Darren and Rumster booked a last minute deal and got the day really cheap. Or so we thought.

The day started well with the first couple of sessions going without anykind of problem. Darrens Dunlop D208RR were looking a bit worse for wear having been round Spain and also completing the Pembrey track day.

Stu Holloway and the Bridgewater crowd were there and were battling it out in the Expert but it was the intermediate group that took the atention of ShagRacing.

This was Rumster's first ever track day, and he started off well, easing himself into it slowly.

In the 3rd session Darren was playing with a Rizla 600 until he overtook round the outside of Gerralds. After tipping it into the right hander at Edwinas chicane the back just come round and lowsided. Bugger.

Obviously a low speed, not much damage crash was worthy of a lot of piss taken by Rumming and he couldnt help but text the rest of ShagRacing and tell them the news.

In the 4th session we both went out but my brake lever was bent and my confidence had gone so I rode like a prat and couldnt even pull away from a KR-1S that I had smoked in the previous two session. Thats was though the best battle I had all day.

In the 5th session I was all set to go out when I noticed the brake hose from the reservior to the master cylinder had a tiny holw in it and fluid was squirting out over the tank. Need less to say I took pictures.

Rumster was going well, really well, almost too well until the red flags came out. We knew it was him. Having been getting cocky and overtaking round the outside of Gerralds on the way into the corner it was only a matter of time. He went wide and hit the bumps onthe track and went wider. After skimming thorugh the pebbles it was on the grass where he dumped it. After a little trip to the medical centre nothing was broken and he was released.

So both bikes in the van were requireing some work!!
