Shag Racing In France, Swizerland, and Spain

This year was a bit more complicated than previous years as we started with 6, gained 2, lost 4 and then gained another 3.

After our usual pint and grub at the pub on Portsmouth dock we rolled up to the check in. We were going Portsmouth to Le Havre again this year but we were travelling with LD Lines as P&O have cancelled that route. What a SHIT of a boat, we all had club class seats (we payed extra) but most people led on the floor. I say led as 30 minutes to an hour sleep was the norm.

Saturday we headed South East towards Switzerland taking plenty of quick stops. We made it to Chambond (440 miles) in time to get a hotel and all get down the pub for the start of the England game to enjoy a few beers.

Sunday we headed towards Chamonix for 2 nights. On the way to Chamonix we had some fun. Well not initially!! Having entered Switzerland Gary and I waited for Stu to take a phone call, sorry I meant a pee, then we continued our route into Lassanne. We come across some massive road work ROAD CLOSED signs so the 3 of us turned round and took the BIG diversion signs. Stu turned round before us and was gone, which is funny cause he never has a map. Anyway after an hour Gary and I stop at the side of the lake and phone them. It turns out martin, Rummy and Nealo had missed the ROAD CLOSED signs and pushed bikes across a pedestrian bridge well Stu shot into the mountains to met Heidi and her team of goats. So they are all having a nice slap up meal in Planet Hollywood or something well Gary and I are stuffing our faces with wank sandwichs and nasty crisps in a lay by. Beauty.

After 2 hours of sunbathing and watching slow tricked up bikes with loud pipes ride by suddenly know the boys are on their way. The noise was incredible, the engines were red lining and we see Viney on the back wheel. He drops the front and hammers round the left hander followed by some foreigner on an R1 with his 4 foot nothing g/f on the bike, then Nealo, Martin and Rummy followed by some other bloke. Then they came back and told us how good their dinner was whilst posing for the camera.
