With two weeks to go in the Somer Valley time trial calender Darren was attempting to get under 27 minutes.  It was a wet dark night and he managed a very consistant 27:20 (his last 3 rides being 27:17, 27:20, 27:20).

Tony Penton, who was leading the improvers competition by one point only managed a 29:38 and picked up 1 point compared to Darrens 6.

So with one week left Darren leads by 55 points to Tonys 51.  Creeping up in 3rd place is Nick Creed with 49 points after picking up 8 points. Could Nick pull victory out the hat?

Well have to wait and see. One week left and this is going down to the wire.
