Established in 2004, ShagRacing was the name of our Motocross team and we joined Poole and Parkstone motocross club in 2005. Shagracing.co.uk was created so its members (the Shags) could view results, pictures and generally take the piss out of each other. We raced in their club for only one season as the early starts were not to everyones liking!
Now ShagRacing has changed its focus to Cycling. We currently have 6 members: Darren, Justin, Rich, Stuart, Keith and Chris, who together have a wide spread of talent!!

On a wet but warm night Darren borrowed Keiths Specialized TT bike and rode the Somer Valley 10 mile time trial. The roads were wet and after losing both wheels on the first roundabout Darren pounded his way to a 25:55.
It couldnt have been that bad a night however as Rob Pears got another course record with 20:28.

Team Tor 2000 - Ilton 15/07/2010
The forecast for the night was heavy rain and 40mph winds coming in at about 1900 hours. Well the weather men got it spot on. They were the worst conditions Ive ever riden a bike in. Absolutely mad. It started raining after we had signed on and just got progressively worse! After a warm up lap we even asked for our money back ! This was not a nice night.

Shagracing goes Road Racing |

Keith and Darren decided 'what the hell' last night and entered the Castle Combe Thursday night series road race. Both are 4th Cats and this is their first ever road race (within 2 centuries).

Chris rode the Tuesday night Somer Valley 10TT and finished with a time of 24:05. Keith Penny managed a 23:58.
Chris did have a little helping hand as he did a two-up with a Elite road racer with numerous victories to his name. Im not sure if I can mention his name though !
Lets see what Chris does in his next solo TT. |
